i've never seen "the departed"
i have never seen this movie
is that a bad thing?
from what i'm being told apparently i've missed one of THE great cinematic experiences of the past year...or 10
so under advisement, i bought the movie for tonights viewing pleasure
im hoping the person whom im watching can refrain themselves from talking through the movie
you know "yo...pay attention to this part" and whatnot
i hate that
i've avoided for this long because of all the hype surrounding it, but i've finally succumbed to peer pressure

You should have lowered your expectations a bit, it would have made the movie much better. I mean its good, but its not all that
yeah...you're right. I enjoyed it - and its a decent addition to my film collection - but it wasn't as good as i thought it would be, given the hype machine surrounding it
it was good but not THAT good.
and the film's denouement? SOO hollywood
