STUPID SNOW!

The one time when I wish the weatherman would be wrong and he's not.

So, if you're located anywhere on the northeastern seaboard/ midatlantic - you know we recieved some snow today. Not much, but enough to make commuting messy and to give the world around a coating of wet slushiness.

Yuck.

I have got to get out of this weather pattern. Ideally i'd like to move someplace where it is balmy year round. Ok, maybe days where its cooler, cuz i likes my turtlenecks and wool blazers. But generally warm and comfortable. As much as i love my city, i think i'm ready to bid it adieu. Winter has never been my favorite time of year, and, as an adult, i've grown to dislike it even more than when i was a child. At least as a kid, there is always the chance that school may close. Work never closes. Well, unless its a certified blizzard. And even then, some employers be hatin.

The sad thing is that i rehash this same complaint every year, threatening to evacuate @ first snowfall, so this is nothing new. And with every completed circuit around the sun, my vitriol increases. But see, what happens is spring and summer come a long, and i realize how much i LOVE my city in warm weather. Besides, where else can i find a steady supply of this and this other than my immediate environs? Forgetting how much i loathe winter, i stick around for another season. But winter comes back, i start foaming at the mouth, and i'm right where i started. Again.

I have climate amnesia.

In essence, i'll probably be posting something of this nature again, next year around this same time. Stay tuned.

I must say, I vehemently disagree with this sentiment. I love the snow, and not just because I'm an Aquarius(Jan 20th baby). I think it has more to do with the fact that I take the train to work.

booooo! you're one of those who love snow and cold. *hissss*

if it weren't for my commitment to non violence, id engage you in some serious fisticuffs. Of course i'd have to learn how to fight first...
