its kinda sexy to me how you're watching...

you're watching

i see your face
you wanna touch it(you wanna touch it)
come to my place(come to my place)
and lets discuss it(lets chop it up)

tonight you'll be a superstar...

can i just say that i've been RUNNING Bidet(b'day) over my this time off that i've been having?

Its amusing because when this album came out i was hating. HOARD. The only song i liked right off the bat was Deja Vu. But then, as with a lot of things -the more listens i gave, the more i liked. And the more i liked, the more i listened. Most of the tracks are hard hitting and PERFECT for when you're getting ready to go out or just wanna feel sexy and stuff. Its been my soundtrack for the past two weeks(do i gotta go back? :/)

I was approached by the most attractive white guy today. So yeah the white guy holla is always interesting when im in the south, cuz i don't expect it. I always feel mad 1950s when im down here, especially in the more rural areas. Alert for rebel yells and straining my ear for the sound of dixie.

Anyway, I'm at the Solo gas station - and they don't have the card readers at the pump, so i have to go in the store, cuz i gotta pay before i pump.

When i walked in i noticed HIM immediately. Tall, athletic(but not super muscle-ey) dark curly hair, and baseball cap. He had on flipflops and his feets were nice. A little paler than i like...but he looks like he tans not burn. "A hottie" I thought. We kinda share a glance, but i quickly look away.

"its kinda sexy to me how you're watching..."

I get in line behind him which affords me an unobscured view of the back of his neck. He had a nice shapeup! No offense to some of my lighter hued brethren, but some of yall be letting those babyhairs get away from yall.

He pays for his stuff walks to the door and lingers there looking to be fumbling with his wallet.

I pay for my gas, and as i approach the door he opens it for me.

"thank ya much"
"yes ma'am"

We won't discuss him calling me ma'am(shoot aren't we the same AGE?), he had the drawl though. Dude. I've always thought southern drawls were the hotness. Well some of them anyway. I have some fam members that live down here that have this geechee thing going that is just WAY too much. But i digress.

I get thet feeling that comes with being attracted to someone that in turn is attracted to you. That immediate chemistry that happens without few or no words. Now i feel self conscious. I'm aware of every tendon and muscle that goes into my stride, and the walk from the door to the gas pump is like a football field.

His car is a the pump right next to mine. I take the cap off the gas tank and grab the nozzle.

"I really like your hair."

Its drawl boy again.

I gesture to my hair with a careless "this old thing?" motion of my hand.

"Well thank you" I say, embarrassed. Um wtf. Why am i so extra nervous and stuff w/ this dude? gracious. for some reason im feeling mad school girlish.

"its real pretty"

I've been going au naturel for the past few days, foregoing the blowout, instead wearing my hair big with kelis-style curls.

Wow 20 dollars of gas is sure taking a long time to pump. Im feeling really flustered by this dude for whatever reason.

"you from round here?"

STOP talking to me. I think you're hot, and your hotness is making me nervous.

"nah, actually i'm on vacation, i'm from philly"
"Philadelphia? Goooodnesss"

that goodness was the cutest thing ever. and totally southern.

I laugh.

"I shoulda knowed you weren't from round here, you look like a movie star"

I raise my eyebrow.

"I have some family that lives in New Jersey, you know parsippany?"
"yeah"
"Is that close to philadelphia?"
"uh actually its closer to NY but its closer to philly than this is"
"oh."

awkward pause.

17...18...19...20 dollars

I squeeze the last little bit out of the pump, and put it back on the thingie.

"you're really pretty"
"thanks"
"i bet you hear that lots" (no not really)
self deprecating laughter; "no...not really"
"you should."

mhmm. This dude.

"mhmm." My eyebrow , still raised, arches even more.

He laughs. "I'm serious. I'm not lying to you, i think you're gorgeous. How long are you going to be down here?"
"leaving day after tomorrow"
"awl man you need to stay longer"
"i've been here two weeks."
"can you stay a month?"

I chuckle again. And by the way, he's no longer cute, he's fine.

"i wish i could, but you know, work and life beckons." I start walking to the the front door of the car. Don't watch me walk!
"you got email? maybe we can exchange?"
I turn around quickly assessing the situation. I shouldn't...but...he's so pretty.

"...sure"

"you can just take my info if thats better for you"
*shrug* "ok sounds good" (great actually, ball is totally in my court which means i can drop it or slam dunk it as i please)

"should i get paper, or do you have a cell phone..."
"i'll put it in my cell"

he gives me his name, and his email:
Handsome_VonGorgeous@makeyaweakintheknees.net

No number which is great. I don't want to feel obligated to call, not that i would anyways. emails require less personal comittment than an actual phone conversation.

After that we said our goodbyes, i managed not to slobber(a great coup), and we drove our separate ways.

Im totally not emailing him...but that sure was fun.
